Abstract:Objective: To explore the effect of cardiac rehabilitation exercise based on the MoVo model on cardiac function in patients after heart valve replacement surgery. Methods: From August 2022 to August 2023, 80 patients who underwent heart valve replacement surgery at the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery of the Affiliated Wuxi People's Hospital of Nanjing Medical University were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group using a random number table method, with 40 patients in each group. The control group received routine nursing care, while the observation group received cardiac rehabilitation exercise based on the MoVo model. The changes in exercise self-efficacy, exercise compliance, cardiac function, and quality of life before and after intervention were compared between the two groups. Results: After 3 months of intervention, the observation group showed higher levels of exercise self-efficacy, exercise compliance, SF-36 scores, 6-minute walk distance (6MWD), and left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) compared to the control group; while the left ventricular end-systolic diameter (LVESD) and left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (LVEDD) were lower in the observation group. The differences were statistically significant (P < 0.001). Conclusion: Cardiac rehabilitation exercise based on the MoVo model can effectively enhance the exercise self-efficacy and exercise compliance of patients after heart valve replacement surgery, improve their cardiac function, and help enhance their quality of life.
