Abstract:Objective:To systematically retrieve, evaluate, and summarize the best evidence for monitoring and management of intraventricular intracranial pressure(ICP)in patients with severe brain injury, and provide an evidence-based basis for clinical practice. Methods:The literature on monitoring and management of intraventricular ICP in patients with severe brain injury was systematically retrieved from domestic and foreign guideline websites, professional association websites, and databases. The search time limit was from the establishment of the database to March 20,2024.Totally 2 researchers independently evaluated the quality of the literature and integrated the evidence. Results:A total of 13 articles were included, including 5 clinical practice guidelines,5 expert consensus articles,2 systematic reviews, and 1 randomized controlled trials.A total of 28 pieces of evidence were summarized from 5 aspects:the timing and evaluation of intracranial pressure monitoring, management strategy, risk management, intervention strategy for intracranial hypertension, and education and training. Conclusions:The best evidence for monitoring and management of intraventricular ICP in patients with severe brain injury could provide an evidence-based basis for clinical practice. It is recommended that medical staff should conduct targeted screening based on the individual conditions of patients and the status quo of their institutions to develop the best management plan for patients.
