Abstract:Objective:To systematically identify and evaluate the status quo and relevant evidence of exercise rehabilitation for elderly people with mild cognitive impairment(MCI)and dementia. Methods:Systematic reviews and meta-analyses related to exercise rehabilitation for elderly patients with MCI and dementia were retrieved from domestic and foreign databases from the establishment of the database to July 14,2024.The quality of the included studies was evaluated using AMSTAR-2.Based on the framework of the World Health Organization International Health Classification Family(WHO-FICs),the research framework of the evidence mapping was established.Tableau 2024 software and Microsoft Excel 2019 were used for data extraction, coding, and analysis.Bubble charts were used to present information comprehensively, such as study population, intervention type, outcome indicators, and quality evaluation results. Results:A total of 28 systematic reviews and 102 Meta-analyses were included in this study. The research subjects included patients with MCI(53 items,40.77%),dementia(50 items,38.46%),and both MCI and dementia(27 items,20.77%).Aerobic exercise and mind-body exercise were mainly used for intervention, and some studies conducted further analysis on exercise parameters.44 articles were of high quality, accounting for 33.85%.Conclusions:Existing evidence recommends that 30-60 minutes of moderate or higher intensity aerobic exercise or mind-body exercise could improve overall cognitive function.Among the high-quality evidence in non-cognitive areas, exercise rehabilitation has a better effect on mental and behavioral symptoms.
