Construction of enteral nutrition care training program for informal caregivers of patients with prolonged disorders of consciousness

Abstract：Objectives:To construct a training program on enteral nutrition care for informal caregivers of patients with prolonged disorders of consciousness,and to provide reference for clinical enteral nutrition training for caregivers.Methods:Under the guidance of Taylor model,the first draft of the training program on enteral nutrition care for informal caregivers of patients with prolonged disorders of consciousness was developed through literature research,semi-structured interviews,and 2 rounds of correspondence were conducted with 15 experts using Delphi method to form the final draft of the training program.Results:The effective recall rates for the 2 rounds of expert correspondence were 94%and 100%,the expert authority coefficients were 0.858 and 0.846,the Kendall's harmony coefficients were 0.223 and 0.268,and the coefficients of variation for each of the second round's correspondence entries were<0.25.The final training program of enteral nutrition care for informal caregivers of patients with chronic disorders of consciousness includes 4 first level indicators,14 second level indicators,42 third level indicators and training methods,class hours and assessment forms.Conclusion:The construction process of the enteral nutrition care training program for informal caregivers of patients with prolonged disorders of consciousness is scientific and reasonable,which can provide a reference for the clinical implementation of enteral nutrition training for caregivers.
