Summary of the best evidence for non-drug interventions for sarcopenia in patients with breast cancer chemotherapy

Abstract:Objective:To search,evaluate and summarize the best evidence of non-drug intervention for sarcopenia in patients with breast cancer chemotherapy at home and abroad,so as to provide evidence-based evidence and reference for medical staff to carry out clinical practice.Methods:According to the"6S"evidence level pyramid model,relevant evidence about non-drug intervention for sarcopenia in breast cancer patients was systematically searched from the computer decision system,domestic and foreign guideline network,professional society website and comprehensive database,including guidelines,clinical practice,systematic review,expert consensuse and evidence summary.The search time was established until May 2024.Totally 2 researchers evaluated the quality of the included literatures,extracted and summarized the evidence of the literatures that met the criteria.Results:A total of 16 articles were included,including 5 guidelines,6 expert consensus and 5 systematic reviews.37 best evidences were summarized from 6 aspects,including screening for sarcopenia in breast cancer patients,muscle assessment,nutrition intervention,exercise intervention,comprehensive intervention,follow-up and health education.Conclusion:This study summarizes the best evidence of non-drug intervention for sarcopenia in breast cancer chemotherapy patients.When applying this evidence,medical staff should formulate individualized intervention programs for sarcopenia based on patients'own conditions,so as to promote patients'healthy lifestyle,enhance prognosis and improve long-term quality of life.
