Abstract：This paper reviews the content, development status, application status, and suggestions of the middle range theory of self-care in chronic diseases, discussing its current application and prospects, aiming to provide a theoretical basis for research on self-care of patients with multiple chronic diseases in China, and to offer reference for the subsequent construction and application of localized self-care theories.
