Abstract:Objective: To review the current status of TCM nursing faculty training based on the competency onion model, and to provide references for building a TCM nursing clinical faculty training system. Methods: Literature related to the competency onion model and TCM nursing clinical faculty training was retrieved from PubMed, Web of Science, EMbase, CNKI, Wanfang Database, VIP Database, and China Biological Medicine Database, with the search period ranging from the establishment of the databases to April 10, 2024. Results: A total of 10 papers were included. Currently, TCM nursing clinical training in the faculty area involves few aspects, has low attention, and tends to neglect the development of individuals' inner core levels, which limits its progress. Conclusion: The application of the competency onion model in talent cultivation is relatively mature, and it can effectively explore and cultivate intrinsic traits such as motivation and personality that are difficult to develop and evaluate. Future research should further explore its application in TCM nursing clinical faculty training.
