Abstract:Objective: To conduct a scoping review of digital health literacy (DHL) research among cancer patients, describing and synthesizing all types of published research evidence, including measurement tools, current status, influencing factors, impact on patients, and intervention status. Methods: Computerized retrieval was conducted in PubMed, Web of Science, the Cochrane Library, Embase, MedLine, OVID, China Biomedical Literature Service System, CNKI, Wanfang Database, and VIP Database for relevant literature, with a search period from the establishment of the database to April 15, 2024. After dual screening, relevant information from included literature was extracted using Excel, and analysis was performed using descriptive statistics and thematic analysis. Results: A total of 29 papers were included; most studies still used the concept of electronic health literacy (eHL) and the eHealth Literacy Scale (eHEALS); cancer patients' DHL/eHL is still at a medium to low level; age, education level, and internet usage are the main influencing factors; DHL/eHL positively affects patients' health knowledge mastery, health management, and overall survival time; intervention methods mainly focus on course training. Conclusion: With the rapid development of the digital era, future research should promptly update related concepts and research tools, and comprehensively carry out in-depth studies on DHL, exploring effective interventions to improve DHL among cancer patients, narrowing the digital divide, and promoting health equity.
