Abstract:Objective: To compare the application effects of gathering-analysis-summary (GAS) guided feedback and context-content-course (3C) guided feedback in simulated CPR teaching for newly-registered surgical nurses. Methods: A total of 117 newly-registered surgical nurses from a tertiary A hospital in Wuhan were selected as the study subjects. The participants were divided into groups according to the training time: those who participated in the training in March 2024 were assigned to the GAS group (64 people), and those who participated in April 2024 were assigned to the 3C group (53 people). After the intervention, the theoretical examination scores, skill examination scores, guided feedback experience, student behavior performance, and critical thinking ability of the two groups were compared. Results: The theoretical examination scores of the GAS group and the 3C group were (90.47±6.65) and (86.32±7.67), respectively; the operational examination scores were (91.70±1.64) and (86.96±1.43), respectively; the scores on the guided feedback experience scale were (83.72±15.73) and (74.75±13.24), respectively; the scores on the self-rating scale for student behavior performance in high-fidelity nursing simulation teaching were (85.20±10.23) and (77.92±11.00), respectively. There were statistically significant differences between the two groups (P<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the scores of the Chinese version of the critical thinking ability measurement scale between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion: GAS guided feedback teaching is more beneficial than 3C guided feedback teaching in promoting newly-registered nurses' mastery of theoretical knowledge and operational skills, enhancing their confidence in dealing with emergency clinical situations, and gaining greater recognition of the training program.
