Construction and application verification of the evaluation index system for the nursing quality of children with febrile convulsions in pediatrics

Abstract：Objective:To build a quality evaluation system for the nursing of children with febrile seizures(FS)and apply it to clinical practice,in order to provide a reference for the realization of quality management,monitoring,and evaluation of nursing for children with FS in the department of pediatric.Methods:Builded a framework for the quality evaluation system of pediatric FS through literature consultation,screening,and evaluation,used the Delphi method to complete two rounds of expert correspondence,determined the final index system,and applied it to clinical practice.Results:During the two rounds of expert correspondence,the positive coefficient of experts was 100%,and the opinion rate was 92.41%and 31.58%,respectively;the expert authority coefficient was 0.825 and 0.845,indicating that the evaluation indicators had high acceptability and implementation,and strong credibility and effectiveness.The Kendall coordination coefficient in the two rounds of expert correspondence was 0.065 and 0.186,respectively.The final formed evaluation system of nursing quality for children with FS included 3 first-level indicators,9 second-level indicators,and 42 third-level indicators.After applying the nursing quality evaluation system for children with FS,the convulsion relief time,fever subside time,and length of stay of the observation group were shorter than those of the control group.The incidence of complications was lower than that of the control group,and the family satisfaction of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions:The construction and application of the nursing quality evaluation system for children with FS is conducive to shortening the symptom relief time of children with FS and improving the nursing satisfaction of their families.
