Abstract:Objective: To analyze the application effect of solution-focused group nursing model in patients undergoing radical surgery for colorectal cancer. Methods: A total of 108 patients with colorectal cancer who were admitted to our hospital from January 2023 to February 2024 were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into control group and observation group using a random number table method, with 54 cases in each group. The control group received routine nursing intervention, while the observation group received solution-focused group nursing intervention on this basis. The intervention effects of the two groups were evaluated before and after the intervention using the Chinese version of the Brief Mood Scale, the Trait Coping Style Questionnaire, and the Chinese version of the Simplified Fear of Progression Scale. Results: Before the intervention, there were no statistically significant differences in the scores of the Chinese version of the Brief Mood Scale, the Trait Coping Style Questionnaire, and the Chinese version of the Simplified Fear of Progression Scale between the two groups (P > 0.05). After the intervention, the observation group had lower scores in the dimensions of anger-hostility, fatigue-languor, depression-depression, confusion-confusion, and tension-anxiety of the Chinese version of the Brief Mood Scale, and higher scores in the energy-vitality dimension compared to the control group. The observation group also had higher scores in the positive coping dimension and lower scores in the negative coping dimension of the Trait Coping Style Questionnaire. Additionally, the scores of the Chinese version of the Simplified Fear of Progression Scale and its dimensions were lower in the observation group compared to the control group, with all differences being statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Implementing solution-focused group nursing intervention in patients undergoing radical surgery for colorectal cancer can improve their mood state, regulate their coping style, and reduce their fear of disease recurrence.
