Abstract：This paper reviews the concept of social isolation, assessment tools, and the current status of social isolation in patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis. It summarizes the influencing factors of social isolation in these patients from four aspects: general demographic factors, physiological and psychological factors, socioeconomic factors, and environmental factors. It also outlines the current status of interventions for social isolation in patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis, aiming to provide reference for various hemodialysis centers and continuing care institutions in assessing the risk of social isolation in patients.
