Abstract:Objective: To explore the current status of family resilience in patients on maintenance hemodialysis and analyze its influencing factors. Methods: A convenience sampling method was used to select 234 patients undergoing regular hemodialysis at a tertiary class A hospital's hemodialysis center in Shanxi Province from October to December 2023 as the study subjects. Data were collected using a general information questionnaire, the Chinese simplified version of the Family Resilience Assessment Scale (FRAS-C), the APGAR Family Caring Index Questionnaire, and the Social Support Rating Scale (SSRS). The influencing factors of family resilience were analyzed. Results: The total score of FRAS-C for patients on maintenance hemodialysis was (93.61±11.38) points, the total score of APGAR was (7.65±1.71) points, and the total score of SSRS was (40.13±6.20) points. Pearson correlation analysis showed that family resilience of hemodialysis patients was positively correlated with family caring (r=0.873) and social support (r=0.481) (P<0.01). Multiple linear regression analysis showed that age, per capita monthly income of the family, occupation, method of medical expense payment, and social support situation were influencing factors of family resilience in patients on maintenance hemodialysis (P<0.05). Conclusion: The family resilience of patients on maintenance hemodialysis is at a medium to high level. Medical staff should strengthen the assessment of family resilience in hemodialysis patients and develop targeted intervention measures based on its influencing factors to improve the level of family resilience.
