Abstract:Objective: To conduct a visual analysis of research on sexual health in patients with gynecological cancer, to understand the current research situation, analyze research hotspots and development trends, and provide references for future related research. Methods: Literature related to sexual health in patients with gynecological cancer was retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection and CNKI up to July 8, 2024, and analyzed using CiteSpace software. Results: A total of 293 English papers and 203 Chinese papers were included. The number of publications on sexual health in patients with gynecological cancer has shown a continuous growth trend. The United States had the highest number of English publications, with limited international collaboration but more institutional collaboration. Chinese literature showed less institutional collaboration and no large-scale research groups have been formed. Common research hotspots both domestically and internationally include sexual assessment tools, incidence rates of sexual dysfunction, risk factors, long-term effects, and intervention strategies to improve sexual health. Conclusion: Research on sexual health in patients with gynecological cancer shows a fluctuating upward trend, with the United States playing a dominant role in this field. However, global cooperation and communication still need to be strengthened. Future research should pay more attention to personalized treatment plans, comprehensive intervention measures, and the role of spouses in the recovery of patients' sexual health, to enhance patients' sexual health and overall quality of life.
