Abstract:Objective: To analyze the research hotspots and trends of biofeedback therapy (BFT) in the field of stroke rehabilitation, providing references for researchers conducting related studies. Methods: Using CiteSpace 6.3.R1 software, a visualization analysis was conducted on literature related to the application of BFT in stroke patients from Chinese databases (CNKI, Wanfang Database, VIP Database) and English databases (Web of Science Core Collection). The main analysis contents included authors, institutions, and keywords, and visualized knowledge maps were drawn. Results: A total of 587 and 1,430 relevant documents were included from Chinese and English databases, respectively, with annual publication volumes showing an increasing trend year by year. The publishing institutions were mostly schools and hospitals, and the authors were mostly independent teams. BFT is widely applied in the rehabilitation of limb function, swallowing, motor function, and other functions in stroke patients. Conclusion: There are differences in research hotspots between domestic and international studies on the application of BFT in stroke rehabilitation. Future research should strengthen international academic collaboration, implement standardized, scientific, and evidence-based clinical practices of BFT, develop effective treatment plans, and promote interdisciplinary research, basic research, and integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine therapies as future research trends.
