Influencing factors of readmission of renal transplant recipients after surgery:a scoping review

Abstract：Objective: To conduct a range review of factors influencing readmission in renal transplant recipients, providing reference for constructing a risk prediction model and conducting intervention studies for these patients. Methods: A computerized systematic search was conducted in PubMed, ScienceDirect, the Cochrane Library, Web of Science, EBSCO, CNKI, Wanfang Database, VIP Database, and China Biological Medicine Database for literature related to readmission in renal transplant recipients, with the search period from the establishment of the databases to August 12, 2023. The included literature was organized and analyzed. Results: A total of 36 articles were included. The factors influencing readmission in renal transplant recipients mainly included four aspects, involving 13 factors: recipient factors (age, race, body mass index), donor factors (age, kidney source type), disease-related factors (diabetes, hemodialysis, dialysis duration, rejection, infection, poor graft function recovery), and hospitalization-related factors (length of hospital stay, discharge on weekends). Conclusion: There are many factors influencing readmission in renal transplant recipients. Medical staff should pay attention to strengthening the management of high-risk patients for readmission, early identification of risk factors, and providing individualized interventions.
