Abstract:Objective: To conduct a scoping review of the literature on strategic thinking in patients with malignant tumors, and to analyze the current research status and influencing factors. Methods: Guided by the methodological framework of Arksey and O'Malley's scoping review, we systematically searched databases such as PubMed, Web of Science, CNKI, and Wanfang for both Chinese and English literature, with a search period from the establishment of the database to April 1, 2024. Two researchers independently screened the literature and extracted relevant information, then summarized and analyzed the results. Results: A total of 31 studies were included. The results showed that the concept of strategic thinking varies, and the level of strategic thinking differs among patients with different types of cancer. Commonly used assessment tools include the Resilience Scale (RS) and the Self-Control Scale (SCS). Influencing factors involve five aspects: sociodemographic factors, disease-related factors, physiological factors, psychological factors, and social support. Conclusion: Future research should improve and clarify the concept of strategic thinking, integrate spiritual coping into the assessment tools for strategic thinking in cancer patients, and explore the impact of doctor-patient and family factors on strategic thinking, providing references for accurately assessing the level of strategic thinking in cancer patients and enriching clinical intervention programs.
