Abstract:Objective: To explore the acupoint selection rules for acupressure treatment of patients with hemiplegia after stroke. Methods: A computerized search was conducted in PubMed, Web of Science, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Wanfang Database, and China Biomedical Literature Service System from their establishment to March 31, 2024, for literature related to acupressure treatment of hemiplegia after stroke. An acupoint database for acupressure treatment of hemiplegia after stroke was established using Excel 2010. Association rule analysis was performed using the Apriori module in IBM SPSS Modeler 18.0, and cluster analysis of acupoints was conducted using SPSS 25.0. Results: A total of 188 articles were included, involving 141 acupoints. Most acupoints were distributed on the limbs, with Quchi (LI 11), Hegu (LI 4), Zusanli (ST 36), and Yanglingquan (GB 34) being commonly used acupoints. Fifteen types of acupressure techniques were involved, among which Anfa (pressing method) and Rufa (rubbing method) were commonly used. The Hand Yangming Large Intestine Meridian and the Foot Shaoyang Gallbladder Meridian were commonly used meridians. Nine strong association rules were identified, including Quchi-Sanyinjiao-Zusanli. High-frequency acupoints were classified into five categories. Conclusion: Data mining technology helps analyze the commonly used acupoints, combination rules, and acupressure techniques for acupressure treatment of hemiplegia after stroke. Clinical medical staff can follow the principles of 'acupoints along the meridian treat the disease' and 'drawing yin from yang, drawing yang from yin' when selecting acupoints.
