Abstract:Objective:To conduct a scoping review of studies on moxibustion intervention in patients with rheumatoid arthritis in order to identify the specific forms of moxibustion intervention, intervention sites, and outcome indicators, and to provide guidance for future research in this area. Methods:The databases from PubMed,EMbase,Web of Science, the Cochrane Library,CNKI,WanFang Database,VIP,and CBM were searched by computer. The search time was from January 1,2013 to October 1,2023,and the literature was screened, summarized and analyzed. Results:A total of 25 studies were included, and moxibustion intervention forms included Du-moxibustion(long snake moxibustion),ginger moxibustion,salt-separated moxibustion, timing moxibustion, etc. The most frequently used acupoint were the Du Meridian and Shenshu+Zusanli+Ashi points. The outcome indicators involved 3 aspects:clinical indicators, clinical efficacy, and laboratory indicators. Conclusion:Moxibustion intervention in patients with rheumatoid arthritis can improve the clinical treatment efficacy, improve joint pain, tenderness, swelling, and morning stiffness symptoms, and reduce laboratory indicators such as rheumatoid factor,C-reactive protein, and erythrocyte sedimentation rate.
