Studies on fear of falling in patients with Parkinson s disease:a scoping review

Abstract:Objective:To review the research on fall fear in Parkinson's disease(PD)patients at home and abroad through a scoping review,and to analyze the research status of fall fear in PD patients.Methods:Based on the Joanna Briggs Institute(JBI)scoping guidelines in Australia,we systematically searched CNKI,WanFang Database,VIP,CBM,PubMed,CINAHL,Web of Science,and the Cochrane Liberary.The retrieval time was from the inception to June 2024.Results:A total of 20 studies were included,and the results showed that the fear of falling was common in patients with PD,and the influencing factors mainly included sociodemographic factors,clinical motor symptom factors,clinical non-motor symptom factors,drug treatment factors and other factors.The intervention methods included Otago exercises,TaiChi training,Yoga,Motomed viva2 intelligent exercises system,PDCA cycle management,and high frequency subthalamic stimulation.Conclusion:The incidence of fall fear in patients with PD is high,and more research is needed to analyze the relationship and action path between PD characteristic factor variables and fall fear in the future.It is necessary to increase longitudinal research and construct individualized,evidence-based,and multi-factor integrated intervention strategies.
