Summary of best evidence of medication management in patients with chronic heart failure

Abstract:Objective:To search and summarize the best evidence of medication management in patients with chronic heart failure.Methods:A top-to-bottom search was conducted according to the"6S"evidence model to identify relevant literature on medication management in patients with chronic heart failure from the Guidelines website,websites of relevant professional associations,and Chinese and English databases.The time frame for the search was from the establishment of the database to October 2023.Literature screening,quality assessment,data extraction and evidence integration were conducted independently by two master's degree students trained in an evidence-based nursing program.Results:A total of 26 articles were included,including 2 clinical decisions,8 guidelines,6 expert consensus,7 systematic evaluations and 3 evidence summaries.A total of 39 pieces of evidence in 6 areas including multidisciplinary cooperation,health assessment,medication monitoring and management,adherence management,health education and follow-up management were finalized.Conclusions:This study summarizes the best evidence of medication management for patients with chronic heart failure,which provides a reference for standardizing the clinical practice of medication management and improving the medication-taking behavior of patients with chronic heart failure.It can be applied by healthcare professionals according to the actual clinical scenarios and patients'wishes.
