Abstract:Objective:To systematically evaluate the qualitative study of stakeholders'attitudes towards the use of physical restraints in elderly dementia patients. Methods:Qualitative studies on stakeholder attitudes towards the use of physical restraint in elderly people with dementia were retrieved from PubMed,EMbase, the Cochrane Library,CINAHL,Web of Science,CNKI,WanFang Database,VIP,and CBM.Then literature screening, data extraction, quality evaluation and Meta integration were carried out. Results:A total of 10 articles were included, and 73 main research findings were extracted, classified into 12 categories, and synthesized into 4 integrated results:1)stakeholder awareness of physical constraints;2)the current status of physical constraint practices perceived by stakeholders;3)stakeholders'attitudes and emotional experiences towards the use of physical restraints;4)stakeholder suggestions for reducing physical constraints. Conclusion:Attention should be paid to the current situation and implementation of physical restraint for elderly people with dementia at home,in community and in nursing institutions, and the resistance, support and progressive progress in the practice of physical restraint minimization should be carefully considered.Personnel allocation should be improved from the organizational level, training and education of caregivers should be increased, and the use of physical restraint should be reduced.
