Summary of the best evidence on perinatal depression screening practices

Abstract:Objective:To extract,evaluate and integrate the evidence related to the perinatal depression screening practice,in order to provide evidence-based evidence for the clinical staff's perinatal depression screening.Methods:Computer searches were conducted for literature on perinatal depression screening practices from guidelines,professional societies,and comprehensive databases,including clinical decision making,best practices,guidelines,evidence summaries,systematic reviews,and expert consensus,between January 1,2017,and August 23,2023.Results:A total of 9 articles were included,including 3 guidelines,1 evidence summary,2 systematic reviews and 3 expert consensus articles.The frequency,timing,methods and obstacles of perinatal depression screening were extracted into 4 themes with a total of 13 pieces of evidences.Conclusion:The evidences of perinatal depression screening practice summarized in this study are of high quality,which can provide evidence-based evidence for clinical medical staff to implement perinatal depression screening more scientifically and effectively.
