Abstract:Objective:To analyze the risk factors of hypoglycemia in premature infants through meta-analysis.Methods:Literature of relevant study was retrieved from CNKI,CBM,WanFang Database,VIP,PubMed,Web of Science,EMbase, and the Cochrane Library, from the establishment of the database to December 22,2023.Each risk factor's OR value and 95%CI were calculated and combined. Results:A total of 10 documents were included, involving 4 564 patients, and a total of 11 variables were combined.Meta-analysis results showed that maternal diabetes(OR=2.24),maternal insulin-dependent diabetes(OR=3.41),maternal hypertension(OR=1.86),cesarean section(OR=1.79),gender(male)(OR=2.74),small for gestational age(SGA)newborns(OR=2.16),and asphyxia of premature infants(OR=5.27)were risk factors for hypoglycemia in premature infants.Prenatal use of magnesium sulfate(OR=0.43)and vaginal delivery(OR=0.44)were protective factors for hypoglycemia in premature infants. Conclusions:current evidence shows that medical staff should pay great attention to premature infants whose mothers have diabetes, especially insulin-dependent diabetes, high blood pressure, cesarean section for delivery,SGA newborns, asphyxia, etc.and develop personalized prevention strategies to reduce the occurrence of hypoglycemia.
