Abstract:Objective:To systematically evaluate the effect of metabolic syndrome(MetS)on urinary stone recurrence. Methods:The Cochrane Library,PubMed,EMbase,Web of Science,WanFang Database,CNKI,SinoMed and VIP were searched by computer to collect cohort studies and case-control studies on the effects of MetS and urinary stone recurrence. The retrieval time was from the inception to March 2022.After two researchers independently screened the literature, extracted the data and evaluated the bias risk of the included study,RevMan 5.3 software was used for Meta-analysis.Results:A total of 7 studies were included, including 384 MetS patients and 664 non-MetS patients.Meta-analysis results showed that MetS significantly increased the risk of urinary stone recurrence(RR=1.44,95%CI 1.25-1.67,P<0.000 01).Subgroup Meta-analysis results showed that follow-up time ≤12 months urinary stone combined MetS increased the risk of stone recurrence(RR=1.66,95%CI 1.16-2.36,P=0.005).Follow-up time>12 months, urinary stone combined with MetS increased the risk of recurrence(RR=1.39,95%CI 1.19-1.63,P<0.000 1).Conclusion:Current evidence shows that urinary stone combined MetS can significantly increase the risk of stone recurrence and shorten the recurrence period.
