A scope review of the impact of oral health interventions based on self-management support on outcomes in patients with type 2 diabetes

Abstract:Objective:To summarize the evidence about the oral health intervention based on self-management support promoting the prognosis of type 2 diabetes patients,and to evaluate the effectiveness of such programs.Methods:A systematic search was conducted on the Cochrane Library,PubMed,EMbase,EBSCO,CINAHL,Web of Science,CNKI,WanFang Database,and CBM.Relevant original studies were selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria.Results:A total of 7 studies were included,with interventions centered around the concept of self-management support,effectively improving oral health outcomes/blood glucose control outcomes/general health outcomes.Conclusion:Oral health intervention based on self-management support plays an important role in promoting the prognosis of type 2 diabetes patients.
