Abstract:Objective:The aim of this study was to systematically review the effect of pelvic floor muscle training(PFMT)on female sexual function and to conduct a Meta-analysis of available evidence. Methods:The randomized controlled trials with PFMT as the main intervention were retrieval from CBM,CNKI,WanFang Database,VIP,MedLine, the Cochrane Library,Web of Science, and guide network. The retrieval time was from the inception to November 2022.Two independent researchers screened the archives, extracted the data and evaluated the bias risk of selected articles with the Cochrane handbook for systematic reviews of interventions. The data were analyzed using the RevMan 5.4.Results:PFMT had statistical difference in improving the total score of female sexual function(WMD=1.90,95%CI 0.77-3.04,P<0.05).The application of PFMT was better than the control group in improving female sexual arousal(P<0.05),orgasm(P<0.05),sexual satisfaction(P<0.05)and dyspareunia(P<0.05),there was no significant difference in female libido(P=0.13).The impact on vaginal wetness cannot be analyzed. Conclusion:Current evidence shows that PFMT can improve female sexual function from many aspects.
