Abstract:Objective:To investigate the status quo and influencing factors of physical activity in pregnant women during pregnancy in Guangzhou.Methods:From July 2014 to October 2014,274 pregnant women in obstetrics clinic in third affiliated hospital of Sun Yat-sen university were investigated by using general sampling questionnaire and physical activity questionnaire. Results:It is found that the main activity for pregnant women included mild physical activity like walking,stair climbing and brisk walking,and they did very little sports exercise.The average total energy consumed by pregnant women was 17.83 METs hours per day, while only 0.1 METs hours was consumed by exercise.Only 22.6% of pregnant women reached the standard recommended by international guidelines.Lack of sports knowledge,inconvenience during pregnancy,busy work and lack of time were the main influencing factors of poor exercise in pregnant women.Conclusions:As normally the physical exercise of pregnant women was simplex,mild and destitute,medical personnel should be applied the relative knowledge to pregnant women to improve their exercise condition.
