A qualitative study on expectation of clinical teachers to nursing students in secondary vocational school
Abstract:Objective:Through interviews,to in-depth understand clinical teachers' specific expectations on nursing students in secondary vocational schools of Chinese medicine.Methods:Semi-structured interviews were conducted for 4 clinical nursing students,and data were collected,analyzed and abstracted.Results:The expectations of clinical teachers to nursing students in secondary vocational school of Chinese medicine were mainly focused on 4 aspects including expecting health care knowledge,operational skills closer to the clinic,expecting nursing students to improve learning initiative,expecting nursing students to enhance service awareness and expecting nursing students clear career direction and role orientation.Conclusion:The teaching in Secondary Vocational School of Chinese medicine should combine the clinical practice to improve the enthusiasm of nursing students,cultivate the consciousness of nursing students and strengthen the career planning and guidance of nursing students.
