Analysis of effect of PDCA cycle management method in improving compliance of hand hygiene of nurses in ICU
Abstract：Objective:To probe into the application effect of PDCA cycle management method in improving the compliance of hand hygiene of nurses in ICU.Methods:A total of 44 nurses in ICU were selected in a third grade A hospital in Guangzhou city,the PDCA cycle management method was used to intervent for the hand hygiene compliance of nurses.And nurse’s hand hygiene compliance was investigated before and after interventing in ICU by using self designed questionnaire.Results:The ICU nurses’hand washing compliance and accuracy were compared respectikely before intervention,3 months after the intervention,6 months after the interven-tion,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The application of PDCA cycle manage-ment method could effectively improve the hand hygiene compliance of ICU nurses.
