Study on effect of day clinics for improving pregnancy outcome in pregnant women with gestational diabetes

Abstract:Objective:To probe into the influence of two interventions on pregnancy outcome in women with ges-tational diabetes mellitus.Methods:A total of 100 cases of pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus who met the inclusion criteria were divided into study group and control group,50 cases in each based on time sequence entering into the groups.Pregnant women in study group used the gestational diabetes day clinic for intervention;the pregnant women in control group were given gestational diabetes specialist outpatient for inter-vention.Results:In study group,the gestational diabetes related knowledge,fasting blood glucose,postprandial 2h blood sugar,diet,exercise compliance,blood glucose monitoring frequency,weight self management and satisfaction were better than those in control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);the in-cidence of huge children or polyhydramnios or vaginitis was lower than that in control group,the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05);there was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of glycated hemoglobin maternal,pregnancy induced hypertension,preeclampsia,neonatal hypoglycemia between both groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Gestational diabetes mellitus day clinic could effectively control blood sugar and reduce complications in pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus and improve pregnancy outcomes, promote maternal and child health.
