BIM-Based Enhancement of Safety Evaluation Methodology for Construction Site
GU Han
Abstract:This paper proposes a novel framework integrating building information modelling (BIM) to enhance safety evaluation at construction sites. The utilization of BIM technology as the fundamental element enables the creation of a tri-dimensional virtual representation of the construction environment. The integration of unstructured data collected from real-time site monitoring facilitates the formulation of a comprehensive evaluation index system. The analytic hierarchy process (AHP) is employed to determine index weights, which are subsequently embedded into an evaluation function. In order to enhance the precision of the evaluation process and reduce error margins,a back propagation neural network(BPNN)is implemented for the training and optimization of the evaluation model.Empirical results demonstrate that the proposed methodology achieves an error margin of less than 0.02 compared to actual site conditions, with the entire evaluation process completed in 2.4 seconds. These findings provide validation for the effectiveness of the BIM-driven evaluation framework in providing accurate and efficient safety assessments for construction sites.
