BIM-Based Technology for Energy-Saving Renovation in Old Urban Buildings Retrofitting
JIN Wei
Abstract:In order to improve the environment of the old urban area,a BIM-based technology for the energy-saving retrofit of old buildings renewal is proposed, involving the initial collection of data on existing buildings, followed by the construction of a building information model based on the collated data.Subsequently, the energy consumption and cost of the building lifecycle is analyzed with other software. The results show that the refurbishment of existing structures yields the most significant reduction in cooling energy consumption, which is 70 930 kWh before retrofitting and 40 896 kWh after retrofitting. The energy-saving rate has exceeded 35%,which shows that the method proposed in this study is effective in carrying out energy-saving renovation of old urban areas, reducing the energy consumption of old buildings, extending their life cycle and reducing their retrofit costs.
