Abstract:The effects of aeration intensity, stirring speed, and HRT on the operation of MBR were studied, using nitrogen and phosphorus removal and membrane resistance as investigation indices. The operating conditions of MBR process were optimized by an orthogonal experiment. The results show that, according to the range analysis method and variance method, the factors influencing nitrogen and phosphorus removal in MBR are in the order of HRT>stirring speed>aeration intensity, and HRT significantly affects nitrogen and phosphorus removal. The factors that influence the resistance of the MBR film were in the order of stirring speed>aeration intensity>HRT,and stirring speed had a significant effect on the resistance of the MBR film. The optimal operating conditions obtained through an orthogonal experiment are as follows:HRT of 10 hours, stirring speed of 120 r/min,and aeration intensity of 120 L/h.The optimal operating conditions for delaying MBR membrane contamination are stirring speed of 120 r/min,aeration intensity of 120 L/h,and HRT of 8 hours.Considering the nitrogen and phosphorus removal effect of MBR,membrane resistance index, capital expenditure and operating cost, the optimal operating hydraulic conditions of MBR were determined as follows:HRT of 8 hours, aeration intensity of 120 L/h,stirring speed of 120 r/min.
