The Discussion of the Settlement Calculation Method of the Single Pile and Single Row Pile in the Technical Code for Bailding Pile Foundations

Abstract：In view of the accuracy and applicability of the settlement calculation method of single pile and single row pile given in JGJ 94—2008 Technical Code for Building Pile Foundation,the accuracy of the standard calculation method was discussed based on the measured settlement data of two long-term test samples of single pile and six test samples of small pile-group caps in Shanghai,Liaoning and Shanxi.T he results show that the relationship between the ratios of the calculated values to the measured values and the in-soil depth of piles is approximately linear.T hen the revision coefficient models based respectively on the forecasts of average and 95% reliability were presented.Moreover,according to the comparison between the calculated results and measured results of the podium building settlement in some pile foundation pro-ject,the applicability of calculating the settlements of single pile and single row pile with the code method was discussed.The result shows that the code method is not applicable to the calculation of scattered pile foundation settlement.
