New Research Progress of Fluorescent Whitening Agents

Abstract：Fluorescent w hitening agent is a kind of multipurpose ,high value added and specialized fine chemicals .Because of their unique excellent whitening effect ,they were widely used in many industrial fields ,such as papermaking ,textile ,plastic resin ,coating ,detergent and leather .The whitening mechanism , structure and classification are introduced in the article ,and the research progress in the recent years is summarized specifically .Then it proposed the future developing direction of the fluorescent whitening a‐gents with more features like light‐resistance ,anti‐oxidation ,anti‐UV ,multifunctional light stabilizer , yellowing inhibitor ,low toxicity ,antimicrobial ,acid‐alkali resistance and polymerized production .
