Abstract:The purpose of this paper is to describe how to model the smooth and texturing blending sur‐faces for marginal area of facial prosthesis adjoined to surrounding tissues based on the characteristics of areal scan data .First in the geometry modelling stage ,the implicit function was used in segment 3D models to re‐triangulate the resulting gap and umbrella iterations and the smooth transition between facial prosthe‐sis and surrounding tissues can be achieved .Then in the texture mapping stage ,a seamless textured surface can be produced quickly based on the method of solving the Poisson equation for the colour field that best fits the colour gradients with a grid search structure .
