Study on the Lubrication Performance of Chlorinated Paraffin and ZDDP

Abstract：Taking 150SN as base oil without adding additives ,5% chlorinated paraffin and 5% ZDDP as additives ,this paper changed the load to the 40CrNiMo ring block and 45# steel specimens in order to test their sliding frictions ,compared their friction and wear properties and analyzed their lubricating properties . The results showed that compared to ZDDP ,the friction coefficient with chlorinated paraffin as additive is decreased by 13 .68% and the wear volume by 33 .3% .The lubricating property only with the chlorinated paraffin as additive is better than that only with ZDDP .
