Abstract：The main research methods on stream of variation in multistage manufacturing processes are summarized in this paper ,w hich include the state space modeling method and the statistical process control method .The modeling ideas ,the application scope for process monitoring and process diagnosis are re-viewed ,in terms of the limitations of two methods .
