Doping of Water-soluble Polymer in Lamellar Lyotropic Liquid Crystal Formed by Anionic Surfactants
Abstract:In this paper, the lamellar hybrid with water-soluble polymer doped in lyotropic liquid crystal formed by sodium dodecyl sulfate(SDS) was realized. The change of template structure after doping and the stability origin of doped system were characterized by small angle X-ray scattering and polarized optical microscopy. It was shown that the bireflectance of lamellar phase would disappear until the content of PEG was more than 15% which decreased with increasing PEG molecular weight.Furthermore, the repeat distances of SDS systems would increase after doping PEG.
