Study on application performance of plastic steel tile metal roofing system

Abstract：A systematic study was conducted on the fixing methods and pull-out forces of plastic steel tile metal roofing sys-tem,as well as their adaptability to temperature changes,water tightness,air tightness,and wind uplift resistance.The results indicate that the 840-profile plastic steel tiles were fixed at the purlins by screws,exhibit high pull-out forces,thereby enhancing the wind uplift resistance of the plastic steel tile metal roofing system.The thermoplastic polyolefin(TPO)polymer waterproof membrane applied on the surface of the plastic steel tiles achieves sealing at all screw locations and detailed joints through welding of the overlapping edges,thereby improving the water tightness and air tightness of the entire roofing system,along with certain high-tem-perature resistance.
