Abstract:Microencapsulated phase change materials(MEPCM)with n-octadecane as the core material and melamine formaldehyde resin as the shell material were added to the foam concrete(FC)to prepare new composite building materials, and their mechanical and thermodynamic properties were systematically evaluated. The experimental results showed that compared with the benchmark foam concrete, the 28-day compressive strength of FC with 15%wt MEPCM was 6.24 MPa,which was 114%higher than that of normal FC.The field test shows that the indoor core temperature of the building using MEPCM is reduced by 2.58℃,the peak temperature time is delayed by 71 minutes, and the average indoor temperature is reduced by 2.48℃.Comsol Multiphysics thermal simulation shows that the maximum indoor temperature of the building using phase change microcapsule modified foam concrete is 3.36℃lower than that of ordinary foam concrete houses, and the thermal hysteresis effect is extended to 1.6 hours.
