Abstract:In this study,we systematically investigated the enhancement mechanism of permeable crystalline materials on the corrosion resistance of concrete through multi-scale analysis(different curing conditions, corrosive environments and permeable crys-talline material admixture). The mortar strength loss test combined with XRD and SEM was used to compare the corrosion behav-ior of standard curing and natural curing specimens immersed in H2O,3%HCl,3%Na2SO4 and 3%NaOH solutions for 90 days. The results showed that the incorporation of permeable crystalline materials significantly reduced the mortar strength loss rate,com-pared to that without dosage, the flexural and compressive strength loss rates of test block with 0.1%~0.3%penetrating crystalline materials were reduced by 0.1~8.8 percent points and 0.1~7.9 percent points in HCl,Na2SO4 and NaOH solutions, respectively. In addition, the mechanism of action of the penetrating crystalline materials under different curing conditions is universal, which can effectively slow down the erosion effect of the corrosive environment on the concrete materials.Microscopic analysis showed that the material promoted the generation of CaMg(CO3)2 crystals to fill the pores and enhance the concrete compactness, thus effective-ly blocking Cl-、SO42-and OH-erosion.
