Abstract:Using isobutylene alcohol polyoxyethylene ether(SPEG),acrylic acid(AA),mercaptoethanol(ME),and self-made cationic template as the main raw materials,a polycarboxylate superplasticizer(PCE-1)was prepared through template polymerization. The study investigated the influence of the dropwise addition of AA and the self-made cationic template addition amount on the performance of the polycarboxylate superplasticizer. The results indicated that when SPEG has a molecular weight of 3000,dosage of self-made cationic template is 0.1%,and add 25%AA to the base material,n(catalyst)∶n(H2O2)∶n(Vc)∶n(ME)=1.0∶0.7∶0.16∶0.7,the prepared polycarboxylate superplasticizer has the best performance. At a solid content dosage of 0.4%,the cement paste incorporating PCE-1 showed a 1.61%increase in initial fluidity,a 28.57%improvement in fluidity retention after 150 minutes in the presence of 1%clay,and a 1.64%enhancement in 28-day concrete compressive strength compared to a commercially available conventional polycarboxylate superplasticizer(PCE-2).Furthermore,PCE-1 displayed superior dispersibility, retardation effect, clay tolerance, and environmental compatibility.
