Abstract:The effects of different dosages of anionic polyacrylamide(APAM)flocculant on the fluidity, setting time and con-crete properties of cement slurry were studied, and the effect mechanism of APAM on the hydration of Portland cement was ana-lyzed by resistivity method and scanning electron microscope(SEM),and the role of sand coating method in improving the adverse effect of APAM on concrete properties was explored. The results show that compared with the reference group without APAM,when the APAM content reaches 0.08%,the fluidity of the cement slurry decreases by 37.3%,the initial setting time is shortened by 22.7%,the final setting time is shortened by 20.4%,the slump loss of the concrete mixture increases and the adsorption capacity of the admixture increases, and the compressive strength of the cement slurry decreases by 36.7%at 28 days. After the addition of A-PAM,the resistivity value increased due to the hydrolysis of the amide group in APAM,and the flocculent material appeared on the surface of the slurry to wrap the hydration products, resulting in a decrease in strength. The sand coating method can improve the fluidity of the concrete mixture and significantly increase the early compressive strength of the concrete.
