Research status of cement accelerators

Abstract：A systematic review was conducted on the research progress of accelerators at home and abroad,including their mechanism of action,current application status and challenges,and prospects for their development trends.Common accelerators can be divided into three categories:inorganic,organic and compound.Inorganic accelerators mainly promote the hydration reaction of C3S and C3A by consuming the hydration products in cement,and accelerate the formation of ettringite,so as to achieve the effect of promoting acceleration.Organic accelerators adjust the viscosity of cement-based materials and shorten the setting time through adsorption and complexation.The composite accelerator is composed of two or more single components in a certain proportion,bal-ancing the dual goals of accelerating solidification and improving performance.Cl salt in inorganic accelerator is easy to corrode steel bars inside concrete.The reaction mechanism of organic accelerator is complex,and the relationship between dosage,accelerat-ing and retarding is difficult to control,and the price is high.The engineering effect of composite accelerator is better than that of a single accelerator.
