Abstract:The effects of different amounts of nano-CaCO3(0,1%,2%,3%)on the expansion, compressive strength, bending strength, and axial tensile strength of high performance concrete with mechanized sand were studied, and the hydration product characteristics, porosity, and microstructure were analyzed. The results showed that when the nano-CaCO3 dosage is 2%,the slump of UHPC reached the max.of 550 mm.At this point, the compressive strength, flexural strength, and axial tensile strength of UHPC are the highest, which is 6.4%,45.1%and 17.2%higher than the untreated group, respectively. The addition of proper amount of nano-CaCO3 can promote cement hydration, reduce porosity, improve the microstructure of cement slurry. However, excessive addition can have negative effects due to the excessive generation of AFt,which affects the stability of the cementitious system.
