Abstract:Three types of ionic additives(SZ,GC,PDL)were employed in combination with cement to stabilize the acidic soil from the southwestern region of China. The mechanisms through which ionic additives influence cement hydration and clay behavior were analyzed. The impact of the three ionic additives, when combined with cement,on the properties of the stabilized soil was in-vestigated through compaction tests, unconfined compressive strength tests, and water stability tests. The research findings indicate that among the three ionic additives, the SZ ionic additive exhibited the most effective stabilization performance. The SZ ionic addi-tive accelerated the rate of heat release during cement hydration, significantly increased the early hydration heat of cement, and led to a greater production of cement hydration products. As a result, the unconfined compressive strength and water stability of the composite stabilized soil were markedly enhanced.
