Abstract:In order to promote the resource utilization of red mud,red mud and polypropylene fiber(PPF)were used to pre-pare foamed lightweight soil(FLS)in this paper. The effects of red mud content and PPF content on the mechanical properties and durability of FLS were comprehensively studied through experiments. The results show that the increase of red mud content has an adverse effect on the compressive and flexural strength of FLS,but it can inhibit the drying shrinkage.Increasing the content of PPF can improve the flexural strength and reduce the dry shrinkage rate. When the content of PPF is 0.50%,the compressive strength is the highest. The quality of FLS continued to increase with the extension of immersion age,and the lower the red mud content and the higher the PPF content, the greater the mass change rate of the specimen.During the 120 d soaking period, the strength change rate of FLS continues to increase, because the filling effect of calcium vanadium stone can improve the compressive strength, but the improvement effect will decrease with the increase of red mud content.Compared with the specimen with fiber, the strength change rate of the specimen without fiber is greater.
