Abstract:In response to the problems of poor grindability and unreasonable particle size distribution in low-grade cement raw materials, this experiment investigated the effects of six grinding aids on their grinding efficiency and clinker properties. The experi-mental results showed that the addition of 0.10%TEA had the best grinding effect, with a decrease of 1.62%in 80 μm sieve residue and the most significant decrease in SiO2 homogeneity coefficient, from 0.032 to 0.002.The f-CaO content in the clinker decreased from 1.42%to 0.80%,and the 28 day compressive strength increased by 9.4%.Inorganic grinding aids enhance the dis-persion between particles by increasing the surface potential, and the addition of 0.15%HMP reduces the surface potential by-6.8 mV;In addition, the addition of grinding aids reduces the coarse and angular particles, and the overall appearance tends to be spherical.
